Hello lovelies! Today I wanted to continue with my fall theme and do a DIY Fall Room Decorations post. This will help transform your room from summertime to the fall time with a few simple steps. I hope you enjoy and lets get started!
For the first DIY I drove down to Michael's and bought a bunch of fake leaves and pine-cones. After opening up the packages of leaves and pine cones I took out the stem part of the leaves and took a couple of pine cones and leaves combined and added them on the empty spots on my dresser. This wasn't very hard and it only cost me about $5.00. It also added a ton of color to my room.I would highly recommend this for anyone who wants to decorate but not go too overboard. If you want to take it a step further I found this really cool DIY on Pinterest that I think would add a little something to your room.
For the second project I decided to change up my comforter set. I had a colorful one put in for the fall but I took that one out and replaced it with a simple white sheet with a bit of a design on it. I also took out a few extremely bright decoration pillows and replaced them with simpler pillows. Then I took some old fall-themed blankets I had and draped them over the comforter. This gave the room a really cozy feel and toned down my room for the colder months.
Another simple thing that I did in my room was taking out some candles that I had purchased from Bath and Body Works and placed them in dull points in my room. It gave a pop of color to the room and left a delicate aroma.
The last project that I thought was really fun to do and make was the crayon art pumpkin.
Materials:
A fake pumpkin
White paint
A Box of Crayons
A Hairdryer
Tacky Glue
The materials should give away most of the DIY but the first thing you need to is to take your white paint and cover the entire pumpkin with it. Make sure there's no orange showing through. I used two coats to make it opaque. You can also use the hair dryer to speed up the drying process. After your pumpkin is white, glue the crayons around the top of the pumpkin where the stem is peaking out. Then use the hairdryer to melt the crayons and voila! You have your Crayon Art Pumpkin. I seriously had so much fun making this it was great. you can do this with friends, siblings anyone really. It doesn't even take very long so you don't have to waste the whole day on one project!
That wraps up my Fall Room decor post I am hoping you guys liked it and I will catch you later!! Byee!
XOXO,
Rose
